Who You Are

The Marketing Manager, Acquisition and New Leads will be responsible for developing and executing communications strategies focused on acquiring new donors, TimeDone Members, Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice (CSSJ) members and other supporters through paid search, display, social and traditional advertising. They will also oversee the organization’s websites, ensure all content is optimized for search, develop new content and update the website as needed. The person in this position will serve as a key strategic partner to the social media team, other marketing staff, and TimeDone, CSSJ, Policy and Development leads.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and execute all marketing communications strategies that support the acquisition of 200,000 new members (100,000 TimeDone members and 100,000 CSSJ members) in 2023, including paid strategies, SEO/SEM and content development
  • Develop, monitor and optimize campaign budgets
  • Test, assess, analyze and validate paid campaigns and adjust strategies to optimize for increased acquisition. This includes click through rates, conversion rates, website visits and more
  • Optimize new and existing website content for search
  • Establish and maintain Google Ad grant program
  • Write compelling short- and long-form content and work with the creative team to produce branded graphic and video content as needed
  • Collaborate closely with the social media team to leverage content and creative assets across all ASJ owned channels and align acquisition strategies across channels
  • Partner with TimeDone and CSSJ staff to identify local events that may be leveraged as recruitment opportunities and develop strategies and tools to support success
  • Partner with Development and Policy staff to understand donor and legislative champion profiles, effective messaging and develop strategies to increase acquisition of these stakeholders
  • Build microsites and online forms to support acquisition and new leads with support from contractors as needed
  • Provide regular reports and analysis that demonstrates acquisitions and new leads performance
  • Monitor and analyze website metrics and key performance indicators
  • Stay updated on emerging strategies and technology advances in the marketing field


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years related experience in advertising, marketing and/or CRM
  • Track-record of success growing a large membership, donor or customer base
  • Extensive experience running successful SEM and paid advertising campaigns
  • Strong project management background; experience collaborating across multiple departments to execute projects; proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working with diverse communities and a deep commitment to social  and racial justice
  • Familiarity and comfort with rapid response and/or fast-paced environments


Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing cloud preferred
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Ads preferred
  • Experience updating websites through content management system preferred

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Some travel may be required

  • Requires routine physical movements with limited physical exertion
  • Ability to communicate, receive and understand information through oral and written communication and proofread and check documents for accuracy
  • Requires communicating information with co-workers, stakeholders and/or the public; reading correspondence, instructions and/or technical documents; writing correspondence and/or reports and filling in forms


Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $85,000 – $95,000, and will be offered commensurate with experience.
