Joel Lam is the Chief Financial Officer at the Alliance for Safety and Justice (ASJ) and is responsible for leading all financial activities. In this capacity, he has strategic oversight of the financial growth that enables ASJ to scale up and sustain its national reach across 15 states.
Joel joined ASJ in July 2024 and brings 20 years of financial and operational experience. Most recently, Joel served as CFO for the Urban League in Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio. Prior to the Urban League, Joel developed his leadership at The Trevor Project, Macy’s, Verizon, and the global accounting firm PwC.
Joel holds a graduate degree in Accounting, in addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
