Shundrea Trotty is a Director, Scaling Safety at the Alliance for Safety and Justice. With over two decades of non-profit experience working to address violent crime, Shundrea is a passionate advocate committed to supporting crime victim survivors by strengthening systemic and community supports, enhancing resources and programming; ensuring a pathway to healing.
Prior to joining ASJ, she spent three years with the Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center leading technical assistance efforts to states, working to improve systemic response to victims of crime by working alongside state leaders to diagnose challenges and implement changes to crime victim compensation programs, restitution practices, and victim assistance funding processes. She also held an executive director level position with the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault (IowaCASA), providing training, resources, support, and in-depth capacity building for standalone rape crisis centers throughout the state of Iowa; directing the flow of technical assistance.
Shundrea earned her B.A. in Business Administration with a non profit emphasis from William Penn University, a M.P.A. in Public Administration with an nonprofit emphasis from Drake University, and is currently earning her Doctorate of Education in Leadership from North Central University.
