Aditi Singh

Illinois State Director

Aditi Singh directs ASJ’s justice reform and public safety statewide campaigns in Illinois. As a lawyer and policy analyst, her experience has focused on racial and social justice advocacy at nonprofit organizations and within government. She has worked on education, housing, voting rights/civic engagement, healthcare, juvenile justice and criminal justice issues at the Chicago Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights, Chicago Appleseed, and AIDS Foundation of Chicago. Her time in government includes serving as Governor Pritzker’s criminal justice policy advisor where she coordinated public safety agency legislative and policy proposals and developed the Administration’s criminal justice platform. As an immigrant, a resident of the Southside of Chicago since coming to the US in 2001, and a proud former Chicago Public Schools student, she firmly believes in building the power of people and in the necessity of directly-impacted communities shaping the laws and policies that affect them. She graduated with her Bachelors in World Literature in 2012 and her J.D. in 2015 from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
