Julie Browny

CSJ Program Manager

Julie Browny serves as the CSJ Program Manager at Alliance for Safety and Justice (ASJ) and brings a wealth of diverse experiences to her role. Since joining ASJ in 2017, she has held various pivotal positions, significantly contributing to the organization’s mission. Within ASJ, her multifaceted roles have seen her spearheading essential initiatives, including managing grants & contracts, establishing operational infrastructure, and simplifying complex systems, rules, and regulations into manageable deliverables. In parallel, she fosters a sense of collective responsibility and promotes survivor-centered practices.

Julie is currently pursuing a Master of Library and Information Science degree with a specialization in archives. Her academic endeavors harmonize seamlessly with her professional commitment to documentation and record-keeping, united with her passion for preserving the narratives of underrepresented communities.  Before her tenure at ASJ, Julie’s professional journey included a diverse array of roles, with contributions to compliance in nonprofit cultural impact initiatives, global connectivity, archival projects, and operations for small businesses. Her drive for results is motivated by the shared journey toward a more equitable and inclusive society. Julie calls Georgia home and shares it with her two cats, Bill and Donna.
