As a Detroit/California native, Zandra fell in love with social advocacy groups when she was only a teenager. Inspired by a program by the name Umoja (Unity) led by San Diego City College, Zandra quickly developed a deep passion for charitable work. This resolve stuck with her through college and became her passion. Zandra provides Scheduling and Administrative support to the Alliance for Safety and Justice Operation’s Team and is happy spending her days working for such an important cause along side of other humanitarians. Experiencing what it’s like to be a survivor in Detroit’s poverty affected areas and being a ward of the court as a minor, Zandra developed a strong sense of devotion for the nonprofit sector as feels familiar and of second nature to her. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for how nonprofits seek to improve the quality of life for our communities; one program at a time.
