Trauma, Dignity and Restoration

This report--the product of a small working group of policy advocates, funders, and street violence and domestic violence organizations--argues that changes to Illinois Crime Victim Compensation must be centered around guiding principles that seek to heal all crime survivors. This publication offers 23 recommendations and argues that Compensation is a product of a history that has led us to create and use ineffective policies and practices.
